Sonny Tougas National Bursary Program
Aka 'The Sonny Fund'
This Bursary is designed to aid a young person in their quest to further their education beyond secondary school. While it is within the discretion of the deciding committee, the intent is to support post-secondary education at the university, college, or technical school level.
This Bursary was founded to honour the memory of Maurice 'Sonny' Tougas, a Canadian Kennel Club All Breed Judge who passed away on October 31, 2008. Sonny had a profound impact on the sport of pure bred dogs and was instrumental in mentoring anybody who came to him for help in various aspects of our sport.
Criteria
The applicant should be a full time student and enrolled, or approved for enrollment at a university or technical college. Age is immaterial.
The applicant would have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for a minimum of two (2) years, whether it be conformation or performance events sanctioned by the Canadian Kennel Club.

In addition to the above mentioned criteria, the applicant will be expected to provide to the committee:
